It is ideal for walking direct from the front door or for touring, with nearby Kettlewell renowned for the ’Calendar Girls’ and, a little further afield, Grassington with its variety of country shops, pubs and restaurants. Alternatively, the bustling market towns of Skipton and Hawes make for interesting days out, with Skipton boasting a Norman castle at the head of its broad high street, and Hawes producing Wensleydale cheese.
