Osbourne House, Queen Victoria’s wonderful home and gardens, is about 10 minutes away, and within easy driving distance there are theme parks, a castle, the sailing town of Cowes, various quaint villages, farms, and wildlife centres. For those preferring a car free holiday, there are very good public transport links. As well as miles of scenic walks round the island, there are some lovely sandy coves, bays and beaches, including the popular resort of Ryde which is a 10 minute drive. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile away.
