The colourful harbour leads to a 3 mile stretch of award winning sandy beach. Climb the 199 steps to St. Mary’s church and the abbey ruins to take in breathtaking views across the coast towards Sansend.
Visit Pannet Park, home to the Captain James Cook museum, or board the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Train and journey through the Esk Valley. Whitby hosts many music festivals throughout the year and the popular Gothic Weekends are a sight to behold.
