This modern town house, with accommodation cleverly arranged over four floors and with off-street parking for two cars, is just a 15-minute walk from the town centre. Several rooms enjoy panoramic views over the harbour, marina and town; you may also see steam trains pulling out of Whitby station on their way across the North York Moors. Whitby has something for everyone. In addition to its signature sight of Whitby Abbey at the top of the famous 199 steps, there are many cobbled yards and ginnels packed with shops and restaurants. The seaport has the famous Captain Cook Museum; fishing and pleasure boat trips are available from the quayside, and 3 miles of golden sandy beach stretch towards Sandsend. The coastal villages of Robin Hood’s Bay and Runswick Bay are nearby, as is the stunning scenery of the North York Moors. Day trips to Scarborough or York are also within easy reach.
