The 3-mile stretch of sandy beach is overlooked by the abbey ruins renowned for its connections with Bram Stokers Count Dracula. If you are feeling fit then take the 199 steps up to St Mary’s Church. The North Yorkshire Moors National park offers cycle and bridle paths in abundance. Board the steam train through the Esk Valley into Goathland ’Heartbeats’ very own Aidensfiled. Horse riding, golf, fishing, boat trips and cycling are available locally. Shop and pub 100 yards, restaurant 400 yards.
