Other good local beaches are at Beesands, Hallsands and Blackpool Sands. The lagoon and marshland areas form Slapton National Nature Reserve, a SSSI. Nearby towns include Kingsbridge, approximately 6 miles, and Dartmouth, 9 miles. PO/shop and pub 1/4 mile.
