Surrounded by acacia and tamarisk trees, this charming cottage is set beside one of the region’s canals, the perfect place to fish, or just relax. With a small floral garden and many original features including an impressive stone fireplace, the interior has been designed for partial wheelchair access. It adjoins the owners’ house, and enjoys its own garden and pretty terrace. (The canal is unfenced in the grounds). Situated between the towns of La Rochelle and Luçon. The beaches of La Faute-sur-Mer are easily accessible, as is l’Ile de Ré, whilst further afield are the Marais Poitevin (Green Venice) and many historical sites.
