These charming holiday cottages (refs W43047 and W43048) are located close to the country village of Elsdon, nestled within the National Park which is an AONB. Picnic tables, for relaxing at and admiring the pretty views, are scattered amongst the pretty grounds. Two of four cottages in this small, peaceful development, they make an ideal base for walking, cycling and touring in the unspoilt surrounding countryside. Guests are welcome to wander through the 20 acres of open farmland and woodland belonging to the farm. Elsdon is a quintessential Northumbrian village, a complete example of a medieval settlement in this stunning area, overlooked by hills on all sides. The attractive market town of Rothbury is 13 miles and Otterburn is only 4 miles. The stunning Northumbrian Coast and the must-see Hadrian’s Wall area is less than an hour’s drive away. The Scottish Borders and Keilder Water Forest are around 30 minutes away. Horse riding is within walking distance and there is fishing at Caistron Lake. Shop and restaurant 3 miles, pub 1 mile.
