Spacious, contemporary apartments

Dating back to 1897 this former captain’s house has been the family home of Great War escape hero Marcel Zillessen, portrayed in the film by James Garner. Lovingly converted into first, second and third floor apartments providing spacious and contemporary holiday accommodation. All apartments have their own designated garden/patio area and seating area ideal for al fresco dining. Robin Hood’s Bay is a charming and very popular fishing village just 6 miles south of Whitby. Split into two halves attracting visitors throughout the year. Quaint red roofed cottages cling to the cliff edge and the steep cobbled streets and alleyways all lead to a delightful sandy cove - children will delight in the rock pools and fossil hunting will pass the hours away. The charm and character of this stunning little bay is enhanced by the friendly locals who are happy to pass the time of day. There are museums, art galleries and a visit to Swells quirky cinema is an absolute must - but remember that film night is only once a week. Cliff top walks and cycling tracks abound in this area, and a visit to the ancient seaport of Whitby will not disappoint. Board the steam railway and take a memorable journey through the Esk Valley into Goathland, Heartbeat’s very own village. Robin Hood’s Bay has something for all the family at any time of year.

Shops 250 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
