Set in a peaceful location on a 200-acre estate and with commanding views over countryside and coastline, this stone cottage has been thoughtfully renovated and has its own small garden. Adjoining the owner’s home, it is accessed by a ½-mile private drive and lies in the National Park with superb walking from the door. Just 1 mile from the village, it is 2 miles from Robin Hood’s Bay – a picturesque village and renowned former smugglers’ haunt. With its 3 miles of sandy beaches, cliff-top golf course, and colourful harbour and marina, the historic seaport of Whitby lies just 6 miles distant and Scarborough, 16 miles. The Esk Valley Railway also runs from Whitby, and the North York Moors Steam Railway from Grosmont, 12 miles. York 48 miles. Shops and pub 1 mile.
