Description of Captain’s Cottage
In an elevated position, this end of terrace holiday cottage is just a short walk from the town centre, the harbour and 3 mile stretch of sandy beach. Whitby is known for its connections with Captain James Cook and Bram Stoker’s ’Dracula’, and is the departure point for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Ideal for the Heritage Coast with its many fishing villages, cliff-top walks, sandy beaches and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. There are plenty of shops lining the cobbled streets of Whitby’s old town, with many inns, tea rooms and restaurants. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
Ground floor: Living with wooden floor. Dining room/kitchen with tiled floor. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 bunk. Shower room with toilet. Steep, narrow stairs to second floor: 1 twin bedroom. NB: Even though there are beds for 6, maximum occupancy is 5.
