High Lane Farm Cottages are a group of three holiday homes converted from a former 19th century barn. They are well equipped and furnished and enjoy a stunning rural location. Peacefully set on a working farm, alongside the owner’s farmhouse, the properties are situated on the outskirts of the small village of Newbiggin-on-Lune which is only six miles from the M6 motorway. Conveniently placed between the beautiful Eden Valley, which is on route to the Lake District, the Scottish Border, Hadrian’s Wall and the Howgill Fells which is on route to the Yorkshire Dales makes this an ideal touring base from which to explore both the Lakes and Dales National Parks. Delightful walks and cycle routes can be enjoyed from the doorstep and guests are welcome to join the farmer for a tour of the farm and the family’s pet pigs, horses and hens, children can also enjoy the shared childrens play area. This is a truly rural experience for couples and small families to relax and soak up the atmosphere of a small working farm and the warm Cumbrian welcome provided by the family. Within 2 miles are trout fishing, a 9-hole golf course, pony trekking, a shop and pubs with good food. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
