Description of Moulin de Beneventie
This former mill-house is in a secluded location in a pleasant wooded valley, forming part of a nature reserve where deer occasionally wander and there is a great variety of birdlife. The stone-built house has been restored to preserve the original rustic charm but provide simple holiday accommodation. Sitting outside the house or by the pool, listening to the birds singing, you are truly away from it all, yet are only 1km from the charming Château des Merles hotel, golf and country club. It is only 14km from the bustling town of Bergerac with its fascinating medieval centre with restaurants and cafés overlooking the river. In the other direction it is an easy drive to the pre-historic caves and grottos, and popular tourist sites of the Dordogne Valley.
