Barnstaple, 12 miles away, has theatre, cinema and leisure activities, and places of interest include the Museum of North Devon, Pannier Market, 14th-century St Anne’s Chapel and 18th-century Queen Anne’s Walk. Braunton is the gateway to North Devon’s surfing area.
