Within walking distance of the centre of Grasmere, these well appointed holiday apartments are in the heart of the Lake District. Wood Close is a traditional country house built on the slopes of Rydal Fell, and now divided into 9 apartments. It is an excellent centre for walking with access to the Fells directly from the garden. Set in secluded grounds overlooking Grasmere Lake and valley, there are superb views from the terrace, and the large picture window of first floor apartment Silver Howe, (B5934). Ambleside, 3 miles, and Keswick, 12 miles, offer a full range of attractions and there are many historic houses and gardens locally. Grasmere, famous for Wordsworth and Dove Cottage, has a good selection of restaurants and shops.
