Tucked away on a quiet road, The Hollies is a spacious Victorian family home situated in the heart of Windermere, within walking distance of the lake and marina offering sailing, water sports and swimming. Cinemas, theatres, restaurants, supermarkets and local shops are just minutes away. An ideal holiday base for groups requiring space, and amenities on the ground floor for those with limited mobility. A four oven gas Aga with hot plate, beneath an oak beam rescued from an old chemist shop, and slate from Grasmere bus station is perfect for drying out a soggy kit! Cookery books, children’s baking sets, maps and games make this a wonderful home from home for all, whilst the computer room with iMac, wi-fi, cinema surround sound and iPod dock allows for work and play. The Hollies is a tastefully decorated holiday home, painted in stylish contemporary colours, with wide white shutters and wooden flooring blending old and new in a fascinating way. Sumptuous curtains billow from French doors leading from the dining room with woodburner to a gravelled courtyard - perfect for those balmy summer barbecues.
