Close to the shores of Thirlmere lake and nestling at the foot of the magnificent Helvellyn, this first floor holiday apartment forms part of an elegant country house hotel. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, it enjoys stunning views of beautifully landscaped, mature gardens and the lake, and has been designed and furnished to a very high standard. Within the Lake District National Park are Castlerigg stone circle (NT), Shepherd’s Crag, Dove Cottage Wordsworth Museum and Hardknott Castle. Good walking abounds with gentle lakeside walks and more strenuous walks - notably Helvellyn and Skiddaw. Lake Windermere offers boat trips and good shops; Keswick (6 miles) has tennis, riding, golf and fishing; sailing on Lake Bassenthwaite. Restaurant on site and good pub nearby.
