Walks direct from the door, leading to nearby Tilberthwaite, Langdale Valley and The Old Man of Coniston. In a peaceful remote area, 11/2 mile up a lane from the road to Coniston, which is within easy reach, 3 miles, of the village with a 16th-century church. Sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, horse riding and mountain biking close by. Shops and pubs 3 miles.
