There are many historic houses to visit, including Forde Abbey and Gardens, Montacute, Hestercombe Gardens and Fyne Court (NT), plus Cheddar Gorge and Caves, and the famous, enchanting Glastonbury Tor.
For more leisurely pursuits, there is walking on the Quantocks and Blackdown Hills, fishing and golf.
