Description of The Tackroom

A converted farm building, The Tackroom is a beautifully presented, comfortably furnished holiday cottage. On the approach road from Westbury to Bratton, approx 1/2 mile past the 17th-century Chalk White Horse monument, and the remains of a Saxon hilltop fort and settlement. Nearby is the Wessex Ridgeway, Salisbury Plain, Stonehenge (some 3,800 years old) and Avebury. Within 2 miles is an 18-hole golf course, pony trekking and swimming pool. Whilst Longleat House, and its Safari Park, is only 5 miles. Further afield, the delightful Georgian city of Bath, 14 miles, is an ideal venue for sightseeing and enjoying a trip to the theatre. Shop within 2 miles, pub 1 mile.
