Situated in an idyllic location in a quiet spot of the New Forest National Park, with open heath, wild ponies, and miles of footpaths and cycle tracks right on the doorstep, Acorns is a real retreat. The detached holiday cottage sits next to the owner’s home with 4 acres of gardens, of which 1 acre is private to guests, along with a walled garden and former wooden greenhouse which is now a summer house. Acorns is smartly presented, and offers open-plan living with a woodburner for cosy winter evenings. Adjoining the cottage is an indoor heated swimming pool for guests sole use. There are many local places of interest for the family to enjoy, including Marwell Zoological Park, The New Forest Otter and Owl Wildlife Park or a day out at Beaulieu Motor Museum. Further afield, but worth a trip, are Monkey World and the Tank Museum near Wool. Southampton, with its maritime history and West Quay shopping centre, the Blue Flag beaches of Hayling Island and Bournemouth, and Sandbanks at Poole, are all within an easy drive. Shop, pubs and restaurants ¾ mile.
