An ideal place for walking, with access to footpaths. The market town of Helmsley where the cobbled streets are lined with shops, inns and tea rooms is just 9 miles.
A little further along the road brings you to Thirsk, well known for its connections with vet James Herriot. The Heritage coast of Yorkshire can be reached with Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington an easy 40-mile journey.
