Description of Colloggett

This detached house is ideally situated in an idyllic rural location surrounded by private natural fields and agricultural land, with distant views to the River Tamar, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. Located in the Tamar Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty, yet only 10 miles from the historic city of Plymouth with its historic quays, National Marine Aquarium, restaurants, theatres, cinemas, bowling, and shopping centres. The village of Cargreen, with its quaint riverside pub is a short walk and is located on the banks of the Tamar River. Sailing and canoeing are also available locally. There are various National Trust properties within easy reach of the property such as Cotehele House, Antony House and Lanhydrock House. The world famous Eden Project is a short drive as is the ‘Lost Gardens of Heligan’ where you can roam through the famous jungle section or marvel at the ‘Italianate’ courtyards. For the more active Dartmoor, is a 20 minute drive and is perfect for walking, riding or cycling and Bodmin Moor, famous for the historic Jamaica Inn immortalised by Daphne Du Maurier is within 30 miles. The dramatic coastline of south east Cornwall with the large sandy beach of Whitsand Bay is a 20 minute drive. Looe with its traditional working harbour, boat trips and sea fishing trips can also be easily reached. Surrounded by numerous tourist attractions such as Dobwalls Adventure Park, the Great Cornish Maize Maze, and a local cheese farm, Colloggett is ideally situated for the whole family.
