Description of Meadowsweet

This most attractive and beautifully furnished beamed house, decorated with great warmth, comfort and style, provides spacious and well-equipped holiday accommodation that is perfect for those special occasions and reunions where catering for all ages, groups and tastes is important. Nestling at the foot of the North Downs with glorious views over the surrounding countryside, this peaceful house has a large attractive garden and a stunning outdoor, heated swimming pool set with rockeries and overhead terrace, patio, furniture and table tennis. Situated at the edge of Brabourne Village, it is an ideal location for an active or tranquil country house holiday. Explore the surrounding areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty or walk the North Downs/Pilgrims Way, visit the historic pilgrim city of Canterbury with its 11th-century cathedral and shops, Leeds Castle, Lympne Zoo or Dover with its castle, tunnels, white cliffs and great walks. Sandy beaches are approximately 20 minutes by car as are Folkestone and Dover with the cross channel routes making day trips to France easy (the high speed train only takes 35 minutes to London from Ashford). In addition to the many attractions available in the ‘Garden of England’ there is also fishing on the River Stour or in the trout lake, clay-pigeon shooting, horse riding and golf at a choice of courses ranging from the beginner to championship level. Alternatively the less energetic can visit the several local pubs (many 15th-century), four of which are within walking distance, including the acclaimed ‘Five Bells’, winner of the best pub in Kent award. In summer, spend the days in the beautiful heated pool, garden and conservatory which overlooks the paddocks and horses. Shops ½ mile.
