Description of The Bull Pen

Peaceful farm location

Nestling in the peaceful Sussex countryside on a working stock farm, enjoy and explore 600 acres of farm, nature trails and river banks. The farm is run under the Countryside Stewardship scheme which means that the emphasis is on conservation. The Bull Pen (ref 26699) is a perfect, snug stable conversion with original bull pen courtyard. There are 2 miles of coarse fishing on the River Rother. The Owl and Hawk Society have breeding boxes and there is a pair of breeding otters down by the river. Eco trips can be arranged to observe wild boar and deer. Children can be a farmer for the day and take part in the Muck-in Muck-out farming experience by prior arrangement. The Kent and East Sussex steam railway at Northiam runs across the farm from the fairytale castle of Bodiam to the market town of Tenterden. Explore the River Rother by boat which can be hired at Newenden. Shop for paintings and antiques in Rye, 6 miles, explore golden sandy beaches at Camber sands, 8 miles. Golf and horse riding can be arranged or bring your bicycles to use on the farm trails. Children’s adventure playground, shared use of external table tennis, boules and large chess set for guests use. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
