Holiday Cottages in Snowdonia

Snowdonia, or Eryri meaning ‘place of eagles’ in Welsh, is home to Mount Snowdon the highest peak in Wales.  A spectacular National Park and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Snowdonia covers some 823 square miles of unspoilt countryside rolling down to the deep blue waters of Cardigan Bay. Home to a fantastic array of wildlife, superb scenery, heritage and outdoor pursuits, it’s no wonder that this region is such a favourite for self catering holiday cottages.

A great place from which to base your holiday, the largest seaside resort in Wales, Llandudno to the north is where Snowdonia meets the sea.  A wonderful mix of quaint and contemporary there’s bags of seaside fun together with ancient sites, heritage and the hills on your doorstep.  Walking, cycling, riding or driving, choose how you want to explore and enjoy some superb days out.

The seaside town of Abersoch on the Llyn Peninsular looks back towards Snowdonia’s peaks across a glittering Cardigan Bay.  Sheltered in the lea of the bay, take advantage of Abersoch’s great beaches, watersports, golf and festivals.  For more seaside fun head for Barmouth; found in the south west corner of Snowdonia at the mouth of the river Mawddach. This little gem of a seaside town with its beaches, funfair and steam engine train rides, is also a haven for walkers and bird watchers.
