Although it has the appearance of an attractive village, St Davids is in fact a city – albeit the smallest in the UK and the only one entirely surrounded by a National Park. St Davids famous Cathedral dominates the skyline and has been a place of pilgrimage for hundreds of years while the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park boasts some of the finest coastline in Europe with sandy beaches and dramatic cliffs making this a popular spot for walkers, artists and birdwatchers.
St Davids inspiring Cathedral is a must see, plus the Bishops Palace and medieval Tower Gate. There are a variety of art galleries and some excellent eateries around this tiny city and you can relax on great beaches along the coast or take a boat trip spotting whales, dolphins and sea birds en route to beautiful Ramsey Island. For adrenaline fuelled fun there’s surfing, kayaking and rock climbing to name just a few outdoor pursuits on offer.
