Fort William

Found on the shores of Loch Linnhe and seen by many as the UK outdoor pursuits capital, Fort William is the largest town in the west Highlands of Scotland.  Nestled in the glen below the UK’s highest mountain Ben Nevis and close to Loch Morar, the deepest loch, it certainly is a stunning location.  Get ready for plenty of fresh air and all year round outdoor activities amidst magnificent scenery from unspoilt beaches and wide ranging forests to glens, mountains and tranquil loch side saunters.

There’s a huge choice for all tastes in this region with its strong Jacobite heritage and plenty to see and do for all ages and abilities.  From hill and mountain sports to watersports, some you’ll recognise and some you may never have come across, it’s a great place to learn a new skill or fulfil a burning ambition!  The region also plays host to many festivals and of course the annual Highland Games.
