Add to this fantastic shopping, cafés, restaurants and culture and there’s far more than you imagine to this great city, all just a short distance from your holiday cottage.

Not content with the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival for performers of all shapes, sizes and notoriety, Edinburgh hosts festivals throughout the year including lots on the menu for kids.  Walk, cycle or take an open top bus tour through the city and learn more about its unique history.  Culture lovers will be spoilt for choice with five National Galleries and Scotland’s National Museum, all of which offer events all year round, plus, Edinburgh Castle and Palace of  Holyroodhouse the Queen’s official residence.

Everyone will love Edinburgh Zoo, one of Europe’s leading conservation agencies, offering lots for little hands and eyes to be delighted by.
