Wander the charming cobbled streets and visit the fascinating Castle Museum, Heritage Centre and Lamb House – once home to writer Henry James.  Browse the bookshops, antiques and crafts shops; enjoy walks down to wonderful Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and watch the abundant wildlife.  An excellent base for visiting stately homes, gardens and vineyards around the region, there’s pony trekking just out of town and why not try your hand at kite surfing on the broad swaths of Camber sands?
