Off the beaten track, Norfolk played host to the Romans leaving behind their straight roads and remains of fortifications.  The Normans built their castles and cathedrals and wealthy religious orders prospered establishing rich monasteries and abbeys.  Shaped by farming, the fens, the Broads and fishing ports, today Norfolk is a fascinating mix of rural and seaside charms.

Boating, fishing and watersports are big draws to the Broads and coast, ensuring that there are activities and attractions to suit all tastes and ages.  Choose from our Norfolk cottages in the charming resort of Great Yarmouth and Victorian Hunstanton, delightful Cromer, or historic Norwich for vibrant nightlife, great pubs and locally supplied restaurants.  Make sure you try samphire, a local delicacy found on the Norfolk marshes and mud flats!
