With its ornate Victorian architecture and striking hillside villas, Malvern is a beautiful town to visit at anytime of year. Its famous hills inspired Elgar to compose the music for ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ and Malvern Spring water is rumoured to be a favourite of the Queen.
From your holiday cottage, amble through the hills, visit the wayside springs, wander the pretty streets or simply laze in the park listening to a brass band, plus great walking, cycling, fishing and boating on the nearby Severn River.
You can’t miss the Malvern Hills and can walk from the town, with both easy and more challenging routes to the top where you can enjoy superb views. The acclaimed Festival Theatre has a varied programme throughout the year and hosts the famous Malvern Festival in the autumn. There’s great heritage at Croome Park and stunning Eastnor Castle near Ledbury has a children’s assault course as well as a beautiful arboretum. Look out for regular events held at nearby Three Counties Showground.
