Things to do in Patterdale

The little village itself is a quiet haven, to take a tranquil cruise and see the scenery that has inspired writers and poets take a trip on the award-winning Ullswater Steamers based in Glenridding.  Walkers can combine a steamer pass with many of the walks in the area, plus you’re at the foot of the mighty Helvellyn.  For sailing tuition, canoes and kayaks you’ll find plenty going on at the local sailing centre; heritage lovers head for lovely Dalemain House and gardens and for more adrenalin fuelled family fun check out Rookin House Farm Activity Centre.
