The Fell and Rock Climbing Club has some great walks in the area and if you like waterfalls take a stroll to Stock Ghyll Force or Dungeon Ghyll

There are fascinating Roman ruins at Hard Knott Pass Fort or be inspired at William Wordsworth’s home Rydal Mount and Gardens. Also in nearby Ambleside you’ll find a great selection of Galleries and 2000 years of history at the Armitt Library and Museum, as well as wonderful Lake Cruises on Windermere.
