Things to do in Bournemouth

Stretch out on Bournemouth’s award-winning beach and you’ll find a wealth of great activities on offer.  Ride the land train between Alum Chine and Boscombe to your favourite spot, get out the picnic or eat at the many beachside cafés.  Surf, sail or boat – choose your favourite and get busy, visit the pier and amusements, parks and great waterfront shops.

Check out what’s going on under the waves at Bournemouth’s Oceanarium, little ones will love Giggles Play Centre.  Get a birds’ eye view from 500ft up in the air with the Bournemouth Eye, an amazing tethered balloon ride, plus if you like flying don’t miss the annual air festival during August.

If you love nature take one of the many leisure cruises over to nearby Brownsea Island and to the south, Studland Bay Beach and Nature Reserve in Swanage.  Romantics head for fabulous Highcliffe Castle.
