St Ives Cottages

Holiday Cottages in St Ives

StivesAn amazing little town perched on the south west tip of Cornwall, St. Ives is loved by artists, holidaymakers and watersports fans.  Home to two fabulous golden beaches and a maze of cobbled streets that wind between quaint fishermen’s cottages.  The railway brought visitors to St. Ives in 1877 but happily St. Ives has remained true to its sea faring heritage and timeless ways, keeping alive its traditions and unique annual festivals. Thanks to a mild climate there is plenty to see and enjoy all year round, including the stunning local scenery – ideal for coastal walks, exploring hidden coves and wonderful views.  Hire your surf board or bike by the day, set up your easel and enjoy everything St. Ives has to offer all close to your holiday cottage.

Things to do in St. Ives

Amid the winding streets of St. Ives you’ll find lots of snug pubs, cafés, craft shops and art galleries.  Probably most famous for its seaside home outside London is The Tate Gallery, where you can enjoy international modern and contemporary art, plus the Hepworth Sculpture Garden.  Stand on the most westerly point of mainland Britain at Lands End.  Enjoy a night out at one of the most unique theatres in England, perched on the rocks high above the crashing waves at the open air Minack Theatre, amazingly carved out of the rock itself.  All near to your holiday cottage, the kids will love Paradise Park holders of the BBC Wildlife magazine’s ‘Zoo Conservation Award for Excellence’ where you’ll find the World Parrot Trust, otters, squirrels and exotic birds, all set in gorgeous gardens.
