Holiday Cottages in Padstow

Padstow

Found on the northern coast of Cornwall beside the beautiful Camel Estuary, Padstow is a delightful harbour town which manages to be both a working fishing port and relaxing holiday destination.  The pretty stone pastel coloured fishermen’s cottages that lead down to the small harbour echo Padstow’s maritime past, yet you’ll also discover vibrant boutique shops, arts and crafts. Of course, a mecca for foodies, tuck in to the fabulous food on offer in bistros and restaurants run by local boy chef Rick Stein and Jamie Oliver.

With stunning coastal paths to walk, tranquil beaches to enjoy and a wealth of activities from sailing and surfing to cycling and horse riding up for grabs, a holiday cottage in Padstow will put you within reach of a host of holiday fun.

Things to do in Padstow

There is certainly no shortage of places to eat in Padstow including one of Rick Stein’s famous eateries or Jamie Oliver’s place for some great gastro treats.  While wandering round the quayside why not visit the National Lobster Hatchery or the Padstow Museum to find out more about local life or, work up an appetite wandering along one of the “worlds greatest walks” the South West Coast Path.

There is plenty of fishing, surfing and sailing off the beautiful beaches in Padstow or further down the coast in Newquay and for golfing fans the dramatic coastline makes Newquay Golf club among the many in Cornwall worth a round or two. For family excitement visit Crealy Adventure Park or check out the ghosts at the enchanting Elizabethan stately home of Prideaux Place.
