Sometimes referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’, Broadway is a picturesque village on the edge of England’s largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Winner of ‘Village of the Year’ in 2007, its honey coloured limestone buildings and wide, tree-lined high streets make it an idyllic spot for a super cottage holiday. Broadway’s great location also makes it a good base for exploring the Cotswolds, catching a bit of culture in Stratford or racing and retail therapy in nearby Cheltenham.
There are a wealth of historic houses and gorgeous gardens to visit near Broadway. Head over to Snowshill Manor with its peaceful gardens and quirky collections, plus the wonderful views from Broadway Tower. The Gordon Russell Museum in Broadway itself celebrates the work of the renowned furniture maker. For outdoor fun, have a go at Clay Pigeon shooting, cycling, walk along the picturesque Cotswold way or take the family to visit the rare breeds at Cotswold Farm Park.
