Question: How do I book a short break?

You can search for properties which allow short breaks by searching for a specific date and duration. Some properties allow 3 & 4 nights and some also allow 2 nights.
If you are in a general search, you can also identify properties which allow short breaks by viewing the individual property description and looking out for the short break logo.
2 night durations are generally available on Friday or Saturday depending on the indivudal property. 3 nights are available on Fridays and 4 nights are available on Mondays. This is with the exception of Christmas and New Year where start days and durations vary.
By checking availability for an individual property the website will show the relevant start days for the duration you are seeking

Question: Can I pay by cheque?

www.easycottages.com doesn’t accept payment by cheque but all major credit and debit cards are accepted.

Question: Can I book over the telephone?

www.easycottages.com only accepts online bookings. Our site has been designed to make your booking journey as easy and straightforward as possible to make your booking process simple and secure. Online only bookings also enable us to keep costs down and bring you quality holidays cottages at value for money prices.

Question: When will I receive my confirmation (Overseas holidays)?

“We will acknowledge availability and booking within 48 hours.

For holidays overseas (outside the UK), we will send your booking confirmation and insurance documents to you by post which usually takes 7-10 working days.

The information will include the name and phone number of your holiday contact, and will tell you when you must pay the remaining cost of your holiday. Upon receipt of the balance of your payment we will send you all necessary travel directions.”

Question: When will I receive my confirmation?

You will usually receive email confirmation and where relevant, insurance documents within a few hours. However we ask for you to allow up to 48 hours in exceptional circumstances.

Question: How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You should make your payment online using the Pay Balance link on the homepage, or by clicking here.

Question: Can I take an extra person / infant?

Extra people / infants – As long as the additional adults or children required does not exceed the number of people the property clearly states it can accommodate (including infants and children) then you can add additional party members to the booking by using the ‘Contact’ section of the site.

Question: When will I receive the driving directions to the property and owner contact details?

If you are travelling within the UK, on receipt of full payment you will receive directions to your property along with the contact details of the property owner, by email.
If you are travelling outside of the UK you will receive directions to the property along with other travel documents, by post 14 days prior to your arrival date.

Question: I am trying to book a property for next year, but the site won’t let me (the dates aren’t on the calendar).

The holiday season availability information that the website uses has date boundaries. The current season (year) will always be available to book for all months. If you are looking to book the following year this will usually be available to book from May or June of the previous year.
If the property you are looking at does not show availability using these guildlines then please search for an alternative property. Or use the date and duration specific search which will return properties available for that period.

Question: Can I book non-standard start day, for example Tuesday?

Where short breaks are accepted, by checking availability for an individual property the website will show the relevant start days for the duration you are seeking.
